Helping Starving Children

My 5 year old daughter and I were watching Life Today. We wanted to help feed the starving Children through Life Today Missions outreach. We didn't have much money to give so I had an idea that I could use some of the proceeds from the customer sales to send it to feed the children.

As well as any commissions off the downline sales to feed as many children as we can.

Stop by my website today at

and order some mineral girlz products today help Rylee & I be able to feed some children.

Starting a bible reading plan

One of my friends on her blog wrote that she has a bible reading plan. Shes getting a lot of good insights. I am going to take some time to pray and see which testament God wants me to start with and start sharing what I am reading. I am writing some devotionals with my bible study. who knows maybe it will be a devotional book for women.

I did share about a vaulable lesson learned in my christian weight loss support group. Its in my blog archeives called Spiritual lessons learned. God is giving me so many things to write about and share. I am seeking him on what to share. From personal struggles in life to personal truimphs. God is doing so much in me these days.

I know as I start reading the word and digging deeper in my studies and my prayer life he will continue to show me many more things that I've never seen before. I just may learn to be more confident as well. I start taking steps out of my comfort zone and go for it. Making friends with women in my sunday school class instead of pulling back in fear all the time. This is defintely something that I struggle with and its no way to lead a life.I am going to e-mail one of the ladies I want to make friends with and see what happens. She did give me her e-mail.
I'll let you know what happens.

adopt a sister revised

I got some information in the mail about adopting a sister. I was dissappointed because I have to pay for it to do it. Its a very expensive amount. At Big Brother/ Big Sister you can do the same for free but theres not one in my area.
I will have to think of another alternative to doing it. I'm not sure what though. I may start a site of my own adopt a sister where single moms with daughters can sign up to be adopted by a big sister. by snail mail the same effect but no cost. This will be an alternative and a good outlet. The areas won't be limited either. I will pray about it first before proceeding though. See what happens. I may ask on a christian message board to see. It kind of surprises you that it costs you money to volunteer. Like its a determing factor to be able to help. Very sad.

I may put feelers out and see maybe on my bible college message board there may be a single mom with a daughter who would like a big sister to write too. It couldn't hurt to ask.

I procrasinated on something I know I am supposed to do. All I hear is write Dallas. I guess I better get busy and do it already. I don't want to be one that disobeys what I'm supposed to do. God knows why I'm supposed to write him.
I just need to be obedient to what he wants me to do. I know the words will flow.

Rylees cute episode

Last week when we were eating there was a puppy in the window. Rylee was singing her favorite song to the dog.
She loves the song The Last Dollar By Tim Mcgraw. Everytime its on no matter where we are she will sing it.
The people think its so cute. she is just like me she loves to sing. She loves puppies.

She doesn't understand why people have a dog with them in the car though. Thats one thing she doesn't understand.
I don't either to tell you the truth. Must be an Arkansas thing I guess. She loves looking and singing to the puppies just the same. anyway.

Rylee's graduation

After church today was Rylee's graduation. She got a certificate , a book signed by her teacher and a black graduating cap she gets to keep. it took quite awhile to start due to them being so disorganized. They didn't have a microphone so you couldn't hear the names being called.

They had cake and punch and no parents really wanted the cake only a few. It was a chaoctic day none the less. Rylee was excited to see her little boyfriend chance. She sat by his mom to see him in the line. It was so cute to see the excitement. After such a busy day shes tired.

It was also hot and sticky as well. My poor daughter is fair skin and gets sunburned easily. Her mom is darker complected. (Sp?) so I tan more than burn. My sister used to get so mad at me. She would lay out in the sun for 2 hours and not get very tan. I would be outside 10 minuets and come out twice as dark as she did. Shes also fair skinned and blonde.

In China if you are light blonde they consider you an angel. My friend who is in China has the people wanting her 4 yr old to get pictures with them because of her blonde hair. If Rylee went it would be the same thing.

Sunday school was good my friend Dallas started the class there were only 2 others there. we just talked about anything and everything. Mainly about how we tend to gravtate toward those people who are like us when we pick friends. While thats good we need those different as well.

Theres a guy in my class and with what he talked about last week it was like Man, I'm a female version of him. It blows you away. When it comes to answering bible discussions we tend to think the same and give the same answers almost. Very child like and simple answers. Most of the people in the Sunday school are analytical.

Dallas is going to get a study ready next week to teach us. We didn't have a teacher so we winged it. We voted for Dallas to teach next week. Hes good at it, better than us girls . As thats not our gifting. I'm more your encourager and compassionate gal who recognizes what a person needs . God will give me words to speak without knowing anything about the situation.
I'm also a discerner of Spirit. I know when I went to YWAM. I was the only person who belived that God could speak to you. God used me to tell what we needed to pray about the country.
I did get heavily attacked all through the trip as well. God was with me and helped me through.

Its amazing how many people don't believe that God can speak to you. They think its a foreign concept. I always belived God could speak to you.

Adjusting Priorites

Today I am doing a few e-mail things. Then I am going to do a bible study. My stepdad has a book and a workbook called The Way to Agape. Nancy Missler. Its about Gods love. You answer questions in the workbook with the corresponding chapter as well as 3 scriptures at the end you write on 3x5 cards to memorize. along with any scriptures that minister to you. You also pray and journal about anything you need to get rid of that may hinder God being able to hear you.I'm looking forward to digging in a few minuets.

My prorities are misplaced . I read in my first issue of the proverbs 31 woman about how to balance priorities and I'm trying to implement them. One thing is by spending less time on the internet. Other than for my business work, spanish class and posting on my blog. Thats really all I will be doing.

I e-mailed all my penpals with my snail mail address so we can still keep in touch with one another.
I went to the post office to mail a letter to mexico. I was happy to know the cost was 63 cents. the majority of my penpals are from Mexico. I have a few from Russia (it will be $1.00) and 2 from France probably ($1.00)
not sure how much Japan or the Phillippines will be. I will mail one letter at a time until I get everyone a letter and repeat the same cycle over again.

This is part of ministry and my goals in pursuing my passion along with taking Spanish class starting next Tuesday.
Stay Tuned for more to come.
